We’re Erica & Ben, founders of EDGEhill. We live in Massachusetts with our pup Maybie.

We decided to start EDGEhill one day while we were hiking in Shenandoah National Park and found ourselves inspired by the natural beauty of our planet. With Ben’s experience in the world of product development, and Erica’s eye for design and branding, we decided to put our skills to good use and create something that would do good for our environment.

We went to work designing and developing EDGEhill bags as a disposable Ziplock bag alternative. It was important to us that this product would be made using eco friendly materials while also being practical and durable so that people would actually use it instead of disposable bags.

We decided on a high quality silicone material that is free of harmful chemicals, and a sustainably sourced bamboo sliding closing bar. Silicone is naturally heat resistant and easy to clean, and is a derivative of silica - also known as sand - one of the most abundant resources on the plant. We made sure our bags were designed to be extra thick so they would hold up to endless use - coining the idea that this product is Endlessly Reusable.

Finally, it was important to us that the people who sold EDGEhill bags be aligned with our mission. We love partnering with small local retailers who care about selling sustainable products to help improve our planet’s future.
